Alexandra Gater is a photographer, creative writer, and journalist.

She graduated from the University of Toronto on the Dean’s List with High Distinction for an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree specializing in Journalism and minor in Studio Arts in 2015. She was in the joint program with Centennial College and almost all of her electives were taken in English Literature, with a focus on creative writing. Her photos have been hung in various photography shows across Toronto, including two solo shows of her own. In 2014, Alexandra won the Centennial College Dean’s Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Alexandra was hired on a full-time position with Canada’s iconic women’s lifestyle magazine Chatelaine before she graduated from UofT, where she currently holds an editor position planning, producing and writing lifestyle content for the print issue and website.

219daysoflondon was created to document Alexandra’s seven month trip to London, England in 2010. She’s since continued documenting her photography, creative writing, journalism and things that inspire her.
